Do you allow dogs?

Dogs are welcome when camping from 1st April – 1st December (excluding Easter & Labour weekends). No pets are allowed during our peak season.

All dog owners must also adhere to the following conditions. Failure to comply with these will result in your dog no longer being welcome at the Castlepoint Holiday Park and Motels. You may be asked to leave without a refund.

Maximum 2 dogs per site.
No dogs or pets are allowed in or around the Castlepoint Holiday Park and Motels accommodation units or communal areas.
Dogs MUST be kept on a lead at all times. It is the responsibility of the owner to collect & dispose of dog poo.
Management has to right to refuse entry to any dog that they deem to be dangerous or a nuisance to other campers.

How do I amend or cancel my booking?

To change or cancel your booking, please email us holiday@castlepoint.co.nz as early as possible. Our cancellation and refund policy can also be found on our Terms & Conditions page.

How big are your sites?

All powered sites are approx 8m x 8m. Tent sites are smaller. Please advise us if you are bringing a vehicle or tent larger than 8 meters.

Where can I get food?

There are a few food options for meals at Castlepoint. These include:

The Castlepoint Store (Takeaways and some grocery items)
The Whakataki (Classic pub food)
Kiwi Coffee & Kai Catering (Food truck style food)

Otherwise, please bring all food and supplies with you. Countdown delivers to Castlepoint 3 days per week, which you can order online.

Masterton has the closest supermarkets, approximately 1 hour from the park.

Riversdale Beach Store is the next closest store/dairy, approximately 45 minutes from the park.

There are a number of restaurants & cafes located in Masterton, or Homewood Storeroom further down the coast.

When are your busiest times of the year?

Our peak season is typically from December 1st to April 1st. All long weekends throughout the year can also be quite busy.

Am I allowed visitors?

Yes. Visitors are by courtesy of management at all times but are your responsibility and must depart by 10pm. Visitors are required to call at reception during office hours and sign in. All visitors vehicles are to be left in the visitors car park across from the main gates.

Is linen provided in all units?

Linen is provided in all motels and Seaview House. Please bring your own linen, bedding and towels for all other units. Bedding can be hired from reception for $15 per bed.

Are there any fishing charters at Castlepoint?
